When a four-girl, one-guy rock group called The Mystery gets its first gig at a club, it's not just a chance to perform, it's also an opportunity to get out of the inner city¿and see what life is all about. Fresh out of high school, the group spends the summer playing a club in an exclusive beach resort. There they find romance, adventure and, for the lead singer Jennie Lee (Bateman), a dilemma: to pursue her budding career or return to school. Liam Neeson and Julia Roberts co-star.It's hard to believe there was ever a time when Justine Bateman was a bigger star than Julia Roberts, but Satisfaction is the evidence of that brief moment. It's also a movie unjustly maligned, perhaps becaus! e it's a little more frank about the sexuality of young women than older male movie critics find comfortable. Jennie Lee (Bateman, Family Ties) and her band (Roberts, soon to become one of the biggest movies stars in the world; Trini Alvarado, Little Women; Britta Phillips, later to be the bassist for the rock band Luna; and Scott Coffey, the only actor to appear in both Ferris Bueller's Day Off and David Lynch's Mulholland Drive) go to a beach town where they get a gig playing in a club run by a former songwriter (Liam Neeson, Schindler's List). Over the course of a summer, they fall in love, have sex, and play rock and roll--but the tone and texture of the movie is more American Graffiti than Girls Just Want to Have Fun. Perhaps because Satisfaction was directed by a woman, the girls are startlingly well drawn and distinct, despite the movie's episodic nature. Surprisingly, the music has some grit to it, perhaps bec! ause it was produced by the legendary Steve Cropper (of Booker! T. and the MGs). Even more surprising, Roberts doesn't pop out as a future star; watching Satisfaction, you could imagine that anyone in this strong ensemble--even Justine Bateman--could go on to great things (if anyone stands out, it's Britta Phillips, who then dropped out of movies altogether). Satisfaction is not profound, but it is more honest and nonjudgmental about the messiness of life, youth, and love than the overwhelming majority of teen movies. Debbie Harry has a brief but memorable cameo. --Bret FetzerIt's hard to believe there was ever a time when Justine Bateman was a bigger star than Julia Roberts, but Satisfaction is the evidence of that brief moment. In the first pilot, Cook stars as a comedian just cast in a sitcom and, in the second he plays a slacker who drags his pals through unusual adventures. The single disc DVD also comes with bonus features including gag reels, deleted scenes, and Dane’s ad libs. This book is about famous people that all share the birthday of February 19. Patiala House - DVD - ALL REGIONS - Akshay Kumar - Anushka Sharma - Rishi Kapoor - Dimple Kapadia - Bollywood

  • Original B4U DVD
Shruti (Anushka Sharma) is a 20 something no nonsense girl from a middle class Delhi household. Focused and determined with preplanned ambitions, her goals in life are well laid out by the time she reaches her final year of college.

Bittoo (Ranveer Singh), on the other hand, has no real aim in life. As a final year college student of Delhi University, he whiles away his life having fun with his buddies, barely scraping through his exams.

A chance and inopportune meeting (or as you would call it, fate) brings the two of them together on a tumultuous journey where they become partners in their very own, "Wedding planning ka bijness". The rules however, are clear: "Jisse vyapaar karo, usse kabhi na pyaar karo" (Don't mix business with pleasure).

Together, their friendship and business, enters the ups and downs of the lavish Delhi weddings. And while trying to! find themselves, Shruti and Bittoo discover each other and realize that in the course of their journey, unke khud ke rules ki bajegi band!At Patiala House lives the Kahlon family ruled by Bauji. They follow his diktats as he tries to hold onto his 'Indian values' in the land of the 'goras'. The younger generation at the Patiala House wants to assert themselves and follow their dreams but are held back by their respect and love for Bauji and the shining example of Bauji's eldest son, Parghat Singh Kahlon aka Gattu. Gattu gave up his dream at the altar of Bauji's biases. His reward: For the last 17 years he has opened the corner store across the tube station. He will tend to his customers, hear the neighbourhood boys playing cricket in the back alley. He will remember a dream that could have become a reality and watch his father rule a house, a family, a community like he has for the last 25 years. He will silently tolerate the snide remarks and insults passed by a younger generation. He will understand the bitterness of his siblings and identify with their shattered dreams. Then he will participate to bring forth a change. He will finally summon the courage to challenge his father and start a movement that will shake the very foundations of Patiala House. Will Bauji loosen his hold and let the youngsters find their own dreams instead of following his? Will Gattu get a second chance to live his life? What's more important: family or dreams? And why must we choose one over the other. 'Patiala House' has been inspired by England cricket team's Sikh member Monty Singh Panesar. Panesar is the first Sikh to join England cricket team and the spinner is a crowd favourite.
