How To Be A Serial Killer

Determined to spread his message about the joy of serial killing, Mike recruits a lost soul named Bart (Matthew Gray Gubler) to be his pupil and leads him through his 10-step program which includes such quintessential les
HOW TO BE A SERIAL KILLER pokes fun at the self-help literature industry and motivational speakers in general. There are so many ways to get off track while pursuing the perfect life, and an even greater number of pop-psychologists and gurus out there to lead the masses astray. Mike Wilson has found the perfect method of
getting your life back on track and achieving a meaningful existence. Mike teaches his method in an exciting seminar series: How To Be A Serial Killer. Mike tells all of his stud! ents: You have what it takes, you just have to pull the trigger on the life you deserve. Students rave about Mike's depth of knowledge on the subject of serial killing and his endless enthusiasm and zest for life. One student described Mike as a tasty smoothie made from a little bit of Charles Manson, some Tony Robbins, and a sprinkle of the messianic charisma of Jesus. Mike administers his first one-on-one tutorial when he recruits a lost soul named Bart to be his pupil in the art of serial killing. Mike's 10-lesson program includes weaponry, corpse disposal, keeping things from loved ones, and many other pearls. As Mike begins to teach Bart more and more about the ways of successful serial killing, it becomes more and more difficult to hide the truth from his girlfriend Abigail (Laura Regan. And when she does inevitably find out, Mike's life as serial killer gets thrown for a serious loop. Now, devastated by the loss of the love of his life, and with the cops on his tail ! for the first time in his life, Mike and Bart retreat to Mike'! s desert hideout to make preparations for their escape to Mexico. But when a local sheriff's department interrupts their
preparations, all hell breaks loose, and Mike must learn a lesson of his own: how to deal with police standoffs and full-scale gunfights.

The Astronaut's Wife/Don Juan DeMarco

  • Astronaut's Wife After losing contact with Earth for two terrifying minutes during a dangerous mission in space, NASA astronaut Spencer (Johnny Depp) returns home to his beautiful wife (Charlize Theron) in this heart-stopping psychological thriller. Don Juan DeMarco Marlon Brando, Faye Dunaway and Johnny Depp deliver tour de force performances in this critically-acclaimed romantic comedy.
A woman becomes embroiled in a mystery after her astronaut husband suffers an accident and retires as a hero from the space program. When he begins acting strangely, she must decide whether his odd behavior is all in her mind, or if he is no longer the man she once knew.An intriguingly creepy premise but failed execution marks this stylish and ultimately bland thriller about a pretty, young woman whose pretty, young astronaut husband comes back from his most recent space mission a little... odd. Before that ! fated space trip, Spencer (Johnny Depp) and Jillian (Charlize Theron) were a sunny, happy couple with matching blonde hairdos and a predilection for romping in the sack from extremely clever camera angles. However, after a communications blackout brings Spencer and his partner back down to earth prematurely, things are a little... peculiar. Spencer's partner goes bonkers and has a heart attack; on top of that, the partner's wife takes a fatal shower with a plugged-in radio. Getting out of the space biz, Spencer accepts a job as a corporate exec in New York, and as a welcome to the Big Apple for his comely wife, he molests her at the company cocktail party. Soon enough, Jillian is pregnant, but as you might expect, this pregnancy (twins, don't you know) is a little... unusual. Writer-director Rand Ravich takes his sweet time getting from extremely obvious plot point A to even more obvious plot point B, stretching out the development particulars in mind-numbing, suspense-kill! ing fashion. Even Joe Morton, as a sinisterly psychotic NASA o! fficial, can't liven things up--you know you're in bad thriller territory when the biggest scare comes from a light suddenly being switched off. Theron, sporting a Mia Farrow-Rosemary's Baby haircut, sleepwalks beautifully through the movie, but she did this role much, much better in The Devil's Advocate. Depp, with a cornpone Southern accent, is about as realistic as his peroxided hair. Ravich does the viewer no favors with a hackneyed ending straight out of a B-grade paperback horror novel in which the most shocking moment is Theron's sudden emergence as a brunette. With Blair Brown as a jaded socialite who offers to help out Theron by providing do-it-yourself abortion pills, and a lovely Donna Murphy as the suicidal wife who figures it all out before everyone else. --Mark EnglehartLove and death have been on this poet's mind for some time. This poetry maps a few of her most intense experiences, accentuating the positive, the unusual, and the lost. With! a unique voice and lively wit, a sardonic twist, strength, and a peculiar resolve through melancholy, these words lay bare her soul. Luzajic believes in exploring the frontiers of the universe, its chaos, its beauty, its small kindnesses, its remarkable spirit. Along the way on these adventures, you sometimes have to say goodbye.THE ASTRONAUT'S WIFE/DON JUAN DEMARCO - DVD Movie

Phil Rosenthal created one of the most successful sitcoms of all-time, Everybody Loves Raymond. He was a bona-fide expert in his craft. And then…. the Russians called. In the hilarious Exporting Raymond, a genuine fish-out-of-water comedy that could only exist in real life, Phil travels to Russia to help adapt his beloved sitcom for Russian television. The Russians don’t share his tastes. They don’t share his sense of humor. But what Phil did discover was a real comedy, filled with unique characters and situations that have to be seen to be believed. An audience award winner at multiple film festivals across the country, ! Exporting Raymond proves that even if you’ve never seen Everybody Loves Raymond, you’ll still enjoy this wildly entertaining film. Producer-writer-director Phil Rosenthal had an inspired idea when he was invited to adapt his long-running sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond for the Russian market: take a camera crew along. Those are good comic instincts, and the resulting documentary, Exporting Raymond, is a regularly hilarious portrait of culture shock and the universal (or not) properties of the TV sitcom. After the U.S. Raymond completed its run, and in the wake of a successful Russian version of The Nanny, it seemed natural enough for Rosenthal to journey to Moscow (and a suspiciously dark, foreboding film studio) to oversee the newly discovered business of the Russian sitcom. Since the team is working from the original Raymond scripts, and that show was a huge hit, it should be no problem, right? Soon enough, Rosenthal runs i! nto humorless network executives, a glammed-up costume designe! r who be lieves the working-class characters should be dressed in chic outfits, and unmarried writers who can't understand why the show's put-upon hero wouldn't simply assert himself in his marriage. Still, everybody sincerely wants to make Everybody Loves Costya, and the process of casting and rewriting is hugely entertaining to watch. Rosenthal himself proves a dab hand with a deadpan one-liner, and he's got a good eye for the poignant detail (such as his Russian chauffeur, who once dreamed of studying marine biology but was derailed into the military at an early age). Rosenthal's trump card is pure Americana: a couple of appearances by his own parents, who are still figuring out the Internet. Now that's comedy gold. --Robert HortonPhil Rosenthal created one of the most successful sitcoms of all-time, Everybody Loves Raymond. He was a bona-fide expert in his craft. The Crude Truth: Do you want to know why you're paying so much at the pump these days? Raymond J. Learsy, a longtime commodities trader, explains the real facts behind today's outrageous gasoline prices by lifting the veil from the Mideast oil cartel. He shows how OPEC manipulates the oil markets with results that are destabilizing to the world's economy and threatening to America's national security. With refreshing candor and an insider's perspective, Learsy explains how OPEC: - promotes a bogus perception of oil scarcity in order to hike prices and gain political power. - is compromised by connections to Islamist terrorists, who fuel anti-American hatred with dollars from our own pockets. - keeps Third World populations in crushing poverty, despite rich oil deposits found in their countries. - be! came the de facto master of Iraq's newly liberated oil fields.! Along w ith a sweeping survey of OPEC's methods of economic domination, Over a Barrel offers a well-informed strategy for busting the Mideast oil cartel and charting our nation's course towards energy independence.

Matt Damon returns as highly trained assassin Jason Bourne, who is on the hunt for the agents who stole his memory and true identity. With a new generation of skilled CIA operatives tracking his every move, Bourne is in a non-stop race around the globe as he finally learns the truth behind his mysterious past. Loaded with incredible fight and chase sequences, it's the exhilarating movie with "mind-blowing action" (Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times) that you can't afford to miss! The often breathtaking, final installment in the Bourne trilogy finds the titular assassin with no memory closing in on his past, finally answering his own questions about his real identity and how he came to be a seemingl! y unstoppable killing machine. Matt Damon returns for another intensely physical performance as Jason Bourne, the rogue operative at war with the CIA, which made him who and what he is and managed to kill his girlfriend in the series' second film, The Bourne Supremacy. Now looking for payback, Bourne goes in search for the renegade chief of CIA operations in Europe and North Africa, partnering for a time with a mysterious woman from his past (Julia Stiles) and constantly--constantly--on the run from assassins, intelligence foot soldiers, and cops. Directed by Paul Greengrass (United 93) with the director’s thrilling, trademark textures and shaky, documentary style, The Bourne Ultimatum is largely a succession of action scenes that reveal a lot about the story’s characters while they’re under duress. Joan Allen, Albert Finney, David Strathairn, Scott Glenn, and Paddy Considine comprise the film’s terrific supporting cast, and the well-traveled mo! vie leads viewers through Turin, Madrid, Tangiers, Paris, Lond! on, and New York. Overall, this is a satisfying conclusion to Bourne’s exciting and protracted mystery. --Tom Keogh

Recently widowed Marilyn (Brenda Vaccaro), still reeling over the sudden death of her husband, finds an unexpected new circle of friends when she accepts an invitation to join The Boynton Beach Bereavement Club. While not ready to embark on a relationship herself, she is amused to realize that many of her contemporaries are actively looking for love. Lois (Dyan Cannon) is being courted by a younger man (Michael Nouri), while Harry (Joseph Bologna) tries internet dating and encourages his friend Jack (Len Cariou) to pursue a romance with the mysterious Sandy (Sally Kellerman). The Boynton Beach Club proves that 60 IS the new 40 and you’re ! never too old to fall in love.Early in the charming romantic comedy Boynton Beach Club, one randy 70-something guy makes a heartfelt toast to "sex after 60"--in all of its untidy, slightly saggy, unpredictable glory. And so is this film, by Susan Seidelman, as much a toast to love among the retiree set as her Desperately Seeking Susan was a valentine to Madonna and the early '80s hipster scene. The all-star cast, including Joe Bologna, Dyan Cannon, Sally Kellerman, Brenda Vaccaro, and Michael Nouri, explore the nuances of grief, loss, heartbreak, and horniness in a retirement community in Boynton Beach, Fla. The usual jokes about senior communities--the outnumbering of men by women, the orchestrated community-center social lives, the bad driving--are here, but with a twist. Seidelman is just as interested in showing that some things, like schoolgirl crushes, one-night-stand cads, and finding love when you think you're not even looking, are as universal whether! you're 17 or 70. While some of the cast seem almost distracti! ng at th e beginning of the film, because of apparently drastic plastic surgery (Cannon and Kellerman, especially), by the film's end they blend in with the rest of the cast, just as facelifts coexist with sagging jawlines in real Florida towns. Boynton Beach Club has a big heart, and the heart, thankfully, never shows its age. --A.T. Alice in Wonderland

  • Size approx 14" from head to feet
  • officially licensed Disney plush doll
Tumble down the rabbit hole with Alice for a fantastical new adventure from Walt Disney Pictures and Tim Burton. Inviting and magical, Alice In Wonderland is an imaginative new twist on one of the most beloved stories of all time. Alice (Mia Wasikowska), now 19 years old, returns to the whimsical world she first entered as a child and embarks on a journey to discover her true destiny. This Wonderland is a world beyond your imagination and unlike anything you ve seen before. The extraordinary characters you ve loved come to life richer and more colorful than ever. There s the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp), the White Queen (Anne Hathaway), the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter), the White Rabbit (Michael Sheen) and more. A triumphant cinematic experience Alice In Wonderland is an incredible feast for your eyes, ears and he! art that will captivate audiences of all sizes.Tim Burton was born to bring Alice in Wonderland to the big screen. Ironically, his version of the Victorian text plays more like The Wizard of Oz than a Lewis Carroll adaptation. On the day of her engagement party, the 19-year-old Alice (a nicely understated Mia Wasikowska) is lead by a white-gloved rabbit to an alternate reality that looks strangely familiar--she's been dreaming about it since she was 6 years old. Stranded in a hall of doors, she sips from a potion that makes her shrink and nibbles on a cake that makes her grow. Once she gets the balance right, she walks through the door that leads her to Tweedledum and Tweedledee (Matt Lucas), the Dormouse (Barbara Windsor), the Blue Caterpillar (Alan Rickman), and the Cheshire Cat (a delightful Stephen Fry), who inform her that only she can free them from the wrath of the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter channeling Bette Davis) by slaying the Jabberwocky. To pu! ll off the feat, she teams up with the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp! in glam -rock garb), rebel bloodhound Bayard (Timothy Spall), and Red's sweet sister, the White Queen (Anne Hathaway in goth-rock makeup). While Red welcomes Alice with open arms, she plans an execution for the hat-maker when he displeases her ("Off with his head!"). Drawing from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, Burton creates a candy-colored action-adventure tale with a feminist twist. If it drags towards the end, his 3-D extravaganza still offers a trippy good time with a poignant aftertaste. --Kathleen C. Fennessy
