Hephaestus Books represents a new publishing paradigm, allowing disparate content sources to be curated into cohesive, relevant, and informative books. To date, this content has been curated from Wikipedia articles and images under Creative Commons licensing, although as Hephaestus Books continues to increase in scope and dimension, more licensed and public domain content is being added. We believe books such as this represent a new and exciting lexicon in the sharing of human knowledge. This particular book is a collaboration focused on Tripuri people. This is the story of a young chap 'Natobor' from a typical north Calcutta middle-class neighbourhood whose heart beats for poetry, but with no appreciation coming from any quarters - not even the local club, he loses heart almost every day. But by a strange quirk of fate, he gets a job as a copywriter in an advertisement agency and gets acclaim for the first time for his rustic spontaneous jingles. This recognition catapults him to a lifestyle replete with the latest gizmos, branded clothes, international cuisines and of course, the currently mandatory credit card. He becomes a hero in the neighbourhood with getting one of the local events sponsored by his company and also at home, by exhausting his credit card limit in buying gifts. In his new avatar, Natobar somewhat strays away from his next-door girlfriend Mithu and buys a diamond pendant for his sensuous colleague Ujaala at the agency who accompanies him to Bombay for an ad film shoot. All this comes to an end with the bank and the moneylender pursuing him for his dues and his company losing the ad film contract for which Natobar had slogged. Face to face with reality, Natobar puts down his pen to pick up the lathe machine at his father's factory and calls it the graduation of an artist to the post of Vishwakarma, the architect of the world. He is still Not Out!Snehmoy (Rahul Bose) and Miyage (Chigusa Takaku) are pen friends who exchange wedding vows through letters. Fifteen years pass but they never meet. Yet the bond of marriage is strong between them. This unusual relationship comes under a cloud when a young widow, Sandhya (Raima Sen), comes to stay with Snehmoy along with her eight-year-old son Poltu. Snehmoy and the little boy bond and the arithmetic teacher discovers the joy of palpable bonds and fatherhood. There develops an inexplicable thread of understanding with Sandhya too. But Snehmoy remained loyal to his unseen Japanese wife. When Miyage was ill from cancer, he took a long leave from his school and tried his best to find a cure for the illness. Meanwhile, malaria took a toll on him and he passed a! way. Coming of Miyage in a white sari to Sunderbans after his departure was really touching.Original Studio 18 DVD
